Monday

Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Blood Pressure Screening - no appointment necessary.

Pregnancy Testing - no appointment necessary.

TB Testing - by appointment only.

Vision & Hearing Exams - by appointment only.

WIC Class - by appointment.

Tuesday

Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Blood Pressure Screening - no appointment necessary.

Cholesterol Screening - by appointment only (9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.).

Immunizations - by appointment only (8:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.).

Pregnancy Testing - no appointment necessary.

Vision & Hearing Exams - by appointment only.

WIC Clinic - by appointment.

Wednesday

Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

NOTE: On the first, third and last Wednesday's of each month clinic hours do not begin until 9:30 a.m. due to staff development and training time.

Blood Pressure Screening - no appointment necessary.

Immunizations - by appointment only.

Lead Screening - by appointment only.

Pregnancy Testing - no appointment necessary.

TB Test Reading Only - no appointment necessary

STD Testing & Counseling - by appointment only.

Wellness Clinic - by appointment (9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.)

WIC Clinic - by appointment.


Thursday

Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

NOTE: On the second and fourthThursday of each month clinic hours for the public health division are 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Friday

Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Car Seat Class - NOTE: This is done one Friday each month, the exact Friday does vary - please call for more information, by appointment only.
Immunizations - by appointment only.

Pregnancy Testing - no appointment necessary.

Vision & Hearing Exams - by appointment only

General Information:

Jefferson County Health Department is located at #1 Doctors Park Road, Suite F, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

The Environmental Health Division is available from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Hours vary on weeks when a holiday occurs.

The Public Health Division, which provides nursing services, hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; with the second, fourth, and fifth (when applicable) Thursday's of each month hours are 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m..

The Wellness Clinic hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each Wednesday.

The Jefferson County Health Department is a handicapped accessible facility. We also offer TDD for the deaf or hearing impaired at (618) 242-6766.
